Sarah is our Office Coordinator and started in that role in July of 2019. Her connection to DPA is through her mother, who was adopted through DPA (then, The Home) as an infant. Her mother’s adoption started Sarah’s curiosity with adoption and a yearning to one day adopt. Her father, was also the President of Butterfield Memorial Foundation, our Parent Organization, until 2018. Sarah loves that she gets the opportunity to help families, expectant mothers, and children through working at DPA. Sarah has a bachelor’s degree in Ministry through Central Christian College of Kansas in McPherson. Prior to working at DPA, Sarah has been a Youth Director at her local church and a Booking Coordinator, vocalist, and keyboardist for a music ministry in Minnesota. Sarah enjoys being creative through music and crafting. In her spare time you can find her creating unique home decorations while watching Netflix or playing the piano and singing. You might also find her cuddled up with her Australian Shepherd, Marcy, watching a movie. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. She has been to 11 different countries and enjoys learning about different cultures. From 2011-2012 she went to 23 states and 3 Canadian provinces sharing the love of Jesus through music with CTI Music Ministries at churches, schools, prisons, rescue missions, and even a hay ride. Sarah’s favorite Bible verse can be found in Psalms 66:19-20; “God has surely listened and has heard my prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!” It reminds her of God’s loving and caring nature that she hopes to share with others. | |
