Catherine joined the DPA staff in May 2006. Her passions include providing counsel and support to women and assisting adoptive families during their journey of adoption. Prior to her position as the Adoptive Parent Supervisor, Catherine worked as an Adoption Specialist at DPA and as a Child Life Specialist at the Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center for eight years. In this position, she provided social, emotional and developmental support to hospitalized children and their families. One of her most difficult assignments included assisting families during the Oklahoma City Bombing. Catherine has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Family Relation and Child Development from Oklahoma State University. She is a Certified Child Life Specialist. She enjoys shopping, going to the beach and spending time with family and friends. | |
5 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT..... CATHERINE HOWE Adoptive Parent Supervisor When did you start working for DPA? 2006 What is your favorite thing about working for DPA? I have loved working with mothers in unintended pregnancies who have found hope and unconditional love through adoption. In addition, watching a family unite for the first time with their newborn is a gift. I am excited to see how God is going to work and move in lives through embryo adoption. I am thankful for the opportunity to be part of a team that loves Jesus and wants to serve others with integrity and grace. We pray for peace for those who walk through our doors, and seek to love them deeply just where they are. What is your favorite Bible verse? "He will cover you with His feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart." Psalms 91:4 What are some of your hobbies? I like to spend time with my two children, family, and friends. I love to travel and my ultimate spot is somewhere on a beach with my feet in the sand with the crashing waves in the background.
